Ever since I was a teenager I’ve been interested in broadcasting. A group of us at school would record shows on reel-to-reel tape and pass them round; so your audience was literally one person at a time!
Then in 1982 I joined Radio Fairfield - a hospital radio station near Letchworth in Hertfordshire. I presented many different shows in the ten years that I was with the station. The station closed for the site to be redeveloped in 1991.
I maintain an archive site at www.radiofairfield.net
In 2007 I joined BigglesFM - the Community Radio Station for Mid-Beds, where, again, I hosted a variety of shows, including weekday mornings from 10am til 2pm. You can check them out at www.bigglesfm.com
From January 2011 to August 2018 (With a short break early in 2013) I hosted the weekday breakfast show at Cambridge105 Radio - the Community Radio Station for Cambridge. I'm still on air regularly - you can find out more at www.cambridge105.co.uk
